Motors, Control, and PLC Technology Lab

Students taking ITEC 328/329 study and have hands-on experiences with industrial motors, control technologies, and maintenance strategies. This well equipped laboratory provides experiences in electromagnetic theories, single and multiphase wiring and distribution systems. Numerous experiments are conducted utilizing realistic industrial motor control systems that include components such as switches, motor starters, limit controls, proximity switches, wiring techniques, and maintenance of motors. These experiences provide the students with the necessary foundation to perform in an industrial setting.
