| Louisiana Industries of the Future Teams (LIFT) strives to enhance industrial
productivity and efficiency by fusing industry and acadameia's interestes,
resources and abilities. LIFT will also assist Louisiana indsutry to
obtain federal grants, such as NICE3, for cost-sharing methods of efficiency
and competitiveness. |

| LIFT is funded by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and Louisiana
Department of Natural Resources (LaDNR). |

Industries of the Future are defined by the US DOE as the nine most energy-intensive
industries in the US including:
