industrial sector.
- Louisiana consumes about 7% of the energy used by industry in the US.
This is second in the US (behind only Texas).
- Louisiana and Texas sector industries use more than 25% of the energy
used by industry in the US.
- Industry energy usage in our state (and Texas) is dominated by three
IOF sectors: Chemicals, Forest Products, and Petroleum.
