Impact

We are so thankful to all of our alumni for ensuring that the industrial technology program thrives and continues to be a leading program in the region.

Our advisory has been very supportive of the Department of Industrial Technology, acting as a communications network to industries in the region and to University administration. The board is instrumental in establishing funding from corporations to support a teaching professorship for the department.

Industry leaders have donated annual gifts to support student scholarships and an endowed teaching professorship, plus provide industry contracts for program graduates, cash awards for software licenses, software donations, internship programs, and, most recently, a large donation to design and renovate the industrial technology department's student study lounge.

Additionally, industries in the state have provided their support in establishing the graduate program in Systems Technology. With this support, final program approval was obtained from the Louisiana Board of Regents in December 2013.
